AMS Minority Scholarships

Description: The AMS Minority Scholarships will award funding to minority students who've been traditionally underrepresented in the sciences, especially Hispanic, Native American, and Black/African American students.
The two-year scholarship is distributed once each year during freshman and sophomore years (second-year funding depends upon successful completion of the first academic year).Applicants should be U.S. citizens or hold permanent resident status and should be minority students who will be entering their freshman year of school in the fall. To become eligible, students must plan to pursue careers within the atmospheric or related oceanic and hydrologic sciences. Marine Biology isn't eligible.
ASC Scholarship

Description: ACS awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students who want to go into the fields of chemistry or chemistry-related fields. Awards are given to qualified students. African American, Hispanic, or American Indian senior high school seniors or college freshman, sophomores, or juniors pursuing a university degree within the chemical sciences or chemical technology are eligible to apply.
ALA- LITA/LSSI Scholarship

Description: The scholarship is designed to encourage the entry of qualified persons in to the library and automation field who intend to consume a career for the reason that field; who demonstrate potential in, along with a strong resolve for using automated systems in libraries; and who're qualified people in a principal minority group (American Indian or Alaskan native, Asian or Pacific Islander, African-American, or Hispanic). The recipient should be a U.S. or Canadian citizen. This scholarship is perfect for study in an ALA Accredited Master of Library Science (MLS) program.
HENAAC Scholars Program

Description: The HENAAC scholarship recipients continue to create future generations of Hispanics and lead by example to empower our communities and enhance our nation's professional technical workforce. In order to apply for the scholarship, applicants must demonstrate merit through academic achievements, leadership and campus/community activities; possess a minimum 3.0 GPA; be pursuing a STEM-related degree and become of Hispanic origin and/or must significantly demonstrate leadership or service inside the Hispanic community.
Brown and Caldwell Minority Scholarship Program

Description: At Brown and Caldwell, we value diversity at work, supporting organizations such as the National Society of Black Engineers and also the Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers. We provide a $5,000 Minority Scholarship to aid students who identify as minorities and are thinking about pursuing a job within the environmental profession.
Applicant should be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is a full-time student enrolled in his/her junior, senior year or graduate program in an accredited college/university and also have a declared major in civil, chemical or environmental engineering or one of the environmental sciences (e.g. biology, geology, hydro-geology, ecology). Description: The !Adelante! U.S. Education Leadership Fund is a leadership development, non-profit organization focused on Hispanic college students. Their mission would be to inspire the very best and brightest Latino students to graduate and lead through scholarships, internships, and leadership training.
Applicants should have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours of school coursework prior to the upcoming fall semester and should have attended a San Antonio area senior high school (50-mile radius)and be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident who's of Hispanic descent and it has the absolute minimum 2.75 GPA. Must maintain full-time enrollment status (12 hours) throughout the scholarship period.

Description: The BLM^2 Scholarship Foundation program is made to address the financial needs of minority college students and award outstanding senior high school graduates who plan to earn a baccalaureate degree from a certified, four-year college or university with financial help.
Applicant must be permanent Illinois resident, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be a graduating senior high school senior and be a minority student. The student must also be enrolled like a full-time student throughout the coming fall academic semester.

Description: Eligible candidates should have completed their newbie of school in an accredited university; must have a declared major or training program highly relevant to the transportation, travel, and tourism industry; and should have a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Applicants have to submit a 500-word essay discussing the function they aspire to play in advancing the way forward for the transportation, motorcoach, travel, and tourism/hospitality industry.
